Involved and connected with projects and clients

Cathie has spent 20 years managing press campaigns for award-winning British drama and film. Equally skilled at reputation building, delivering to deadline and dealing with talent, co-producers and commercial partners alike, Cathie has a strategic and creative approach to press across all platforms as well as a clear understanding of what journalists and publications need.

She provides a personalised service which can include creating imaginative picture ideas, commissioning and directing photographic shoots and providing liaison and support from the first read-through to transmission publicity.

Following five years at BBC Films, she has worked independently for 15 years with RDF, Talkback Thames, Tiger Aspect and Hat Trick amongst many others. Her BBC work continues on a consultancy basis and includes the launch series of Who Do You Think You Are?, HBO’s Rome, Walking with Monsters, Return to Cranford and high profile and sensitive EastEnders storylines.

She has long-standing relationships with writers and directors, having run six press campaigns for Stephen Poliakoff including The Lost Prince, Perfect Strangers, Capturing Mary, and Gideon’s Daughter.

Cathie has also enjoyed a 20-year working relationship with Jimmy McGovern spanning Priest, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot and BAFTA and Emmy award-winners The Street and Accused. As publicist for McGovern’s production company RSJ Films, she is working on a new drama about the arrival of the first fleet in Australia.
